Alexis, usually when the testimonials are listed and not cycling there’s a javascript conflict. Try deactivating all plugins but the testimonial plugin. If it still is broken I’ve also found sometimes there’s a conflict with the theme – in that case you should deactivate your theme, activate twenty-thirteen and add it to your sidebar. If it still isn’t working hopefully you will hear from the developer.

Alexis403, you should either complete or delete that installation for security reasons.
By the way, the widget cycles through testimonials in descending, not random, post date order. For random, change line 755 in testimonials.php from
'orderby' => 'post_date',
to
'orderby' => 'rand',
Hi, thanks for your responses. I ended up using a different plugin because I needed to move forward fast. I did find that the site I was working on had a lot of problematic plugins, so it was probably that. But I got what I needed. Thanks.
