* I am getting a lot of CVV_FAILURE codes from people ordering. They seem to go
through when they try PayPal instead. Is something wrong with the Square payment
gateway?

error is recorded when the card issuer declined the request because the CVV value
is invalid. Is it likely that when they try PayPal they’re trying the correct
value?
* Are you able to replicate this behavior when you test order with valid card details?
* Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find
it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.

entering in the wrong information.
