I didn’t succeed in updating my directory database with the logos because only the first image is uploaded even when I tested with a small file of only 5 to 10 records.

Previously, I never encountered any problem when importing (but always without image).

On your reco, I asked my host provider to increase the time limit which is now set to 60 sec but without any improvement (the logos are small with file sizes from 1k to 50k max)

When I have a look at your example CVS file, I don’t see the image field in it.
My question: Do I need to create a specific field for image in my directory or is it automatic.
What’s wrong in the way I did it ?

    Hi olidell2013,

Sorry you ran into issues here!

First, the CSV file will not automatically put the image column in–you have to add that manually if you want to use it.

The column should be named “images” and in there, you put a list (separate by semi-colon) of the names of the images you put in a separate ZIP file to upload. You can upload multiple images per listing, if you want.

The full import documentation is here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/docs/#admin-import

Try that and report back if it’s not working. When you report back if it’s broken, post a link of the CSV file you’re using and a screenshot of your CSV import screen (top and bottom, please) so we can see fields and settings.

As requested, I tested again (a small file with only 23 records). The “test import” run without any problem and reported no encountered problem.

So I launched the “Import Listing” and obtained a blank page. I cannot report screenshots because there was nothing. The site was blocked waiting.
After a check of the directory, I found out that only the 2 first records were updated (including their images)

Here a link to the files .cvs / archive and the images

    Thanks for your feed back

    OK–thanks for those.

In addition to that, can you show me a screenshot of your import screen (top and bottom, so I can see fields too!) just before you import?

I did and included them in the shared folder

    HI olidell2013,

Sorry for missing that–when I visited the page, the thumbnails failed to load and I didn’t see that, only the links to the 2 files at the bottom. After some patience, I see the screenshots.

Looking at the fields you have in the CSV and the ones you have in your screenshot, I see that you’re missing 3 fields from the list. Your CSV file must include ALL columns to import, even if the field is to be empty. Missing columns make it so BD can’t understand the file.

Correct that and then try the import again–that should fix it.

    I did it (add the 3 fields – username / sequence_id / expires_on ) but no improvement.
Always the first 2 records updated, but now, the system comes back to a white page without blocking.
I also tested in a different order, but always the 2 first records updated (so not depending of the records)

OK–if that didn’t do it, then the next question is whether your Sector and State fields are fully populated with all of the possible values in your CSV file.

Because you have them as “Select List” fields, they must match the value of the items in those lists. They won’t populate the lists for you–that has to be defined in the field itself.

Are those fields properly mapped for the CSV so your fields have all possible values?

It’s really crazy. After a check of all the fields and without finding out anything wrong, I decided to create a special file with copies of the same record (the first one which is always imported at each test) => Only the 2 first records were uploaded.
So, my conclusion is we are not looking in the right direction.
How to be sure it’s not a problem coming from the host server?

What is crazy, it’s importation without image is ok (I have already more than 1700 records in my database) that I imported by batches of 100
