Hi there, I’m speaking with a chap who has a Cute Editor site with a reasonable amount of content. I’ve not been onto the back end so I dont know how it works. Has anyone ever had any experience of bringing over data. My ASP knowledge is nil so I’m not sure I’m of whats involved..

    Any help appreciated.

navitas – You want to export from Cute Editor and IMPORT into WordPress?

Yes I do. I have a chap who set up a site himself and was looking to bring over all of his existing site pages and there is a lot there. He doesn’t like the back end anyway.
I’m going to turn it into a business directory so I have advised him he needs WordPress…
Is this straightforward to do?? I want to appear to have at least researched it – I could find much online..

Not that I’m aware of, though that’s more because I don’t think Cute Editor has an ‘export’ tool. If it does, we’d need to know what formats it can export in.

In lieu of that, if it has an RSS feed, you can import THAT.

Or you may want to try something like this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/import-html-pages/

Wow – I didnt realsise that plugin existed. I think I’ll have to be straight and explain my lack of knowledge on the subject but thanks for the info on the import-html plugin. That’ll come in very handy now I know of it.

Thanks so much for your time and thoughts.
