cut and paste problems

    Sometimes I cannot cut and paste things. Today I was posting a story on a SSD but I had to resort to the code editor to be able to paste the data into a bulleted list

    This has been an intermittent problem.

    It depends a lot on what you copy and paste.

    Generally if you copy, you copy along all the hidden HTML and stuff like that you don’t see in the “visual” part of the content copied.
    This can then “break” your paste, because lots of hidden HTML gets added that may conflict with the HTML you actually want to produce.

    It can be very helpful to paste in WordPress editors using the “Paste as Text” feature.
    This is only available in the Classic Editor, in Blocks I wouldn’t know how to paste as text, but I am pretty sure there is such feature there as well (I am not using blocks myself, so I cannot tell for sure)

    This feature, in the Classic Editor, will ensure that you paste only the text, and no “extraneous html” along with it.

    This could just resolve the issue you see!
