# Customizr Update

 * When updating the main theme does it update the child theme automatically, or
   is there a way of updating the child theme without having to redesign everything
   from scratch?
 * For example I was using the previous version of Customizr and I created a child
   from that and called it Customizr_child….

 * PS: I took a look at my previous post and don’t think part of my question got
   answered, or at least if it did, I must have missed something…
 * The question being: How do you update the child theme without losing all the 
   pages and code?

 * A child theme doesn’t need to be updated – it inherits updates via the parent
   theme. So long as you did not modify parent theme files, you should be fine. 
   But it’s always a good idea to backup your site before updating.
