Is the Customizr theme automatically updated? I opened up my website to work on it today and the featured-page section of my homepage has reverted back to the default styles. It’s not rendering any of the css for the featured-page section from my child theme anymore, and I did nothing to that part of my css. Checked my syntax in my css file and everything is in order.

The only thing I can think of is that I might have added a class or div to the class-content-featured-pages.php and forgot to put a copy in my child theme. However, I just checked the new version of that file in the developer log here, and it’s identical to the one in my theme’s root folder.

    The link to my site:

Thank you in advance for any input you may have.

  • Hi,
Themes are never updated automatically, you have to trigger the update from your admin screen.

Only thing I can think of : check if the enabled theme is not the customizr parent one in appearance > themes

NEVERMIND!!! I figured it out. So we want to be web designers? LOL. All that lack of proper rendering was because of one little } that I forgot to include in my child css. That has got to be the most frustrating part of web design.

I suffered a White Screen Of Death from having C and not c in my customizr child template!

The single characters are the most difficult to find!
