Customizr theme slider

I have just switched to the customizr theme and I want to add a slider to one of my posts.

I scroll to the bottom of the page and switched the slider option to yes. I then get the message: “You haven’t created any sliders yet. Go to the media library, edit your images and add them to your sliders.”

But I don’t get any of the other options listed in the Customizr tutorial videos to select a slider. When I got to the media library there are also no options to create a slider, only create a gallery. When I try creating a gallery with a slideshow the pictures just show up in the post like a rack of thumbnails. How do I get the options to create a customizr slider? Could any other plug-ins be getting in the way. Please help me resolve this issue.
