Customizr – Disable mouseover/hover and Allow thumbnails links on frontpage Grid

When disabling zoom effects and mouse over on thumbnails of grid post list, the thumbnail links no longer work.
Need help implementing this workaround (http://presscustomizr.com/snippet/allow-thumbnails-links-ie10/) for all browsers.

ps I need this mostly to streamline mobile navigation which requires two click (touches) on posts with hover/mouseover implemented.
