Hi Mark,
Yes, you can do this with a translation file. The translation file can be used to move all strings to a new language, or to edit some existing strings in the plugin for your use above. More on that here:

Hi there I followed all the procedure on http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-translate-bd-for-non-english-language/
Even after making changes still didn’t reflect on my site.
Business Contact Email translate to Contact Email
Business Fax translated to Fax Number
and few more.
saved it and uploadeded both files.
WPBDM-en_US.po
WPBDM-en_US.mo
Didn’t make any difference at all. I even try removing those files off to see if the directory would give any error. It didnt.
Please Help!!!
Hi Keithsiva,
Did you also change WPLANG to explicitly be en_US, as noted in the article above? I know it says “non English users”, but it’s possible that the file is ignored if you don’t (honestly, I don’t think we’ve ever tested overriding is as US English, only non-US).
One other option would be to remove the language code from the file name altogether (because it’s a US English file already).
