 * Hi, I just got WordPress installed, but I really can’t figure out how to customize
themes or anything. I’ve read tutorials & did what they said, but it never works.
I really just want my blog to match the rest of my site. Is there anyone out
there willing to help me create/code a theme that will allow my blog to match
my site. I know it’s not hard, but I just don’t know how to do it. Please help
me if you can, I would appreciate it SO much! Email me here: [Webmiss@Hippie-Kitty.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/customizing-wordpress-3/Webmiss@Hippie-Kitty.com?output_format=md)&
I will show you what I want it to look like. (It’s not my current website layout,
I going to put out a new one as soon as I get my WordPress blog working) THANKS
   SO MUCH!

 * It is not hard but if you don’t know basic html and css – it might seem _very_
   hard!
If you search you’ll find a lot of re-occuring advices: – find a theme
that has a layout that is very close to what you want – start altering the CSS
file (colors, font, bg etc.) to get the look of your existing site – lots of
trial and error and always have the Codex open in another window

 * I know basic html & css. But I just don’t get all the coding having to do with
WordPress & the whole template thing. My site is set up where all the pages open
up in an iframe, including my blog. So I just need my WordPress blog to be set
up to look like the rest of the pages & I just can’t make it work that way. All
the themes I’ve see are for stand alone blogs not ones that are in an iframe
   of a site.

 * Styling your blog with a theme – has nothing to do with iframes. HTML markup
and CSS are the same whether you display you blog as “stand alone” or in iframe.
 * Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about iframes because I never use them,
so I can’t help. On the other hand I know for sure many WP users did what you
aim for: creating a theme that looks exactly like their existing site.

 * This is an excellent tutorial I’ve just followed, which covers how themes work,
and how to edit or create your own.
