Support » How-To and Troubleshooting » Customizing top-level navigation on Chateau
3 years, 10 months ago
Good evening, I am helping out a friend’s website which is using the Chateau theme.
This theme organizes all the Pages into the Top-level navigation at the top of the homepage.
I would like to add a custom link to this top-level navigation. How would I go about doing that?
I saw a suggestion for a plug=in called Page Lists Plus but it doesn’t look like this plug-in has been updated for 2 years, so I have some doubts.
Thanks in advance
WordPress has built-in functionality for that. Go over to Appearance->Menu, and you can add a custom link there.
Thank you for your feedback. Instead of adding a menu (which I dont think can’t be placed at the top in Chateau) I would like to add a custom link to the top-level navigation Chateau constructs out of pages.
Link to your website?
The website is http://vividdreampsychotherapy.com/
Ideally we would like to show links at the top which point to distinct blog post categories like (Dream Dictionary, Vivid Dream Blog, Recurring Dreams)
For example, link at top with the text ‘Vivid Dream Blog’ needs to point to blog category ‘Vivid Dream’, which can be found at http://vividdreampsychotherapy.com/Miami-Therapist/vivid-dream-blog/
How can we set the top navigation links on Chateau to something other than pages?
Thanks for your help!
