I am psyched at how smoothly this plugin is working. Does anyone know how I can control what gets into the description table for each search result?

For example: Google’s description comes from the real meat of the page:

Tamworth Town Reports from 1886 to the present, complete set of original town reports in pamphlet format. Size: 7 archival boxes 5” X 7” X 9.5” …

The plugin, though, is picking up the menus and other fluff around the meat:

find NH history – Collections Tamworth Town Reports From 1886 To The Present Search: Home About Browse Grants Related Programs Organizations News Contact Feed Connecting to Collections New Hampshire Tamworth Town Reports from 1886 to the present Tamworth Town Reports from 1886 to the present, comple…

How can I make the site search index more like Google, or even better?

    Thanks for a great plugin,

Google may be pulling mostly from <p> tags for it’s description, but what you can do and what I’d suggest, is to add class="onlyindex" in the area where your the_content() or pods_content() will be. Simple add that class to the containing element, like a div or something. Then the plugin will look at that for the content. You can also do the same on the sidebar container too, if you’d like the plugin to consider that area in it’s indexing as well. The plugin gets links from the entire page no matter what, so we’re just talking about what content gets indexed and counts towards the relevancy of the keywords on that page in the corresponding searches.

Wow. That worked like a charm. Absolutely terrific. Thanks so much.
