    Hi there,

Wanted to customize the default wording for your theme’s comments section, but just couldn’t find the right area among the usual suspects such as comments.php. Where should I be looking? Could this be handled as a modification to the child theme?

Looking forward to your usual prompt response. Have a great day!

    Hey Bojan,

I know you must be busy, but were you able to make sense of the above error messages? Are you able offer any solution to the problem?

    Cheers in advance,
    Boogieboa

    Hey Boogieboa,

These are just notices which can’t really cause a white page, white pages are mostly fatal errors.

The two you mentioned above are referring to the deprecated function that is not being used from WP 4.3 so this is not really something that should cause white screen.

    Is there nothing else there?

    Please advise,
    Bojan

    Goodday to you, Bojan,

The problem here is not a blank screen. The new comments.php file in the child theme makes the comments form disappear on posts without existing comments. It seems to work fine where there are existing comments on a post. That’s the issue. There are no other error messages other than those posted above.

    Any suggestions?

    Best regards,
    Boogieboa

It’s a problem that exist with Opera and Chrome, but not in the latest Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.

Thanks for the clarification, I’m really glad you pointed this out as I thought this is related to the fatal error so I’ve been mislead 🙁

I did test this only with post that had comment as the idea was to swap those to elements. With that being said and after testing this I can see where the issue is now, please try using this instead

This should do the trick 🙂

You’re a marvel, Bojan. I’d buy you a beer. In fact, I’d even drink with you. The latest code worked like a charm.

Hopefully, it may also be useful for others to put their comments form before the comments on their blog.

Cheers, mate. Really appreciate your help!

    Hey Boogieboa,

Maybe we will drink one in one of the WordCamps, who knows! Glad the code worked 🙂

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,
