• Hello all-

I am currently using Spam Karma 2 on my WP 2 install. It has made my life so much better. I was getting literally hundreds of spam comments a day before I insalled it; now I get almost none. On rare occasions (maybe once or twice a day) legitimate comments get improperly tagged as spam; this doesn’t bother me per se, but I would really like to be able to customize the error page they get if they are classified as such. I’ve never seen it, but it apparently is a bit abrupt. I would really like to offer a message explaining what legitimate posters should do (email me, providing a link) and SHOULDN’T do (keep trying to post the same comment, which only builds up the karma snowball effect). But there doesn’t seem to be a way to do this in the SK control panel. Help!

  • Install the SK2 Akistmet plugin to improve on the accuracy and tweak the importance of the plugins on the SK2 options page to stop getting those false positives. 🙂

uh, thanks for the suggestion, but how about the question that I, you know, actually ASKED? Not to sound grumpy, but it seems like it should be an easy thing to do to edit the error message (surely it just lives in an HTML or PHP file somewhere) but I can’t find out how to do it.

OK, I figured it out. The error text is in spam_karma_2_plugin.php, around line 999.

Well I never get false positives and I was trying to help you get the same results. Jeeze.
