yes you can but it is not tested since the patch is submitted by other users. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-print/faq/

WP-Print will load ‘print-css.css’, ‘print-posts.php’ and ‘print-comments.php’ from your theme’s directory if it exists.

I noticed that the print template has changed — the font size is larger and the border for the content has gone away — it’s also printing with very little margin. Frankly, I’m not too happy about any of those changes.

Is there a way to change the CSS so that it will go back to the way it used to be? Or is there a way to offer a choice between the two styles?

It’s been a while since I’ve messed with code, but if It’s around and can be cut’n’pasted — I’m willing to try it.

I added print-css.css to my child theme directory /themes/child-theme/print-css.css and put .btn-print{ display:none; } to it, but it’s not observing that in the printable version. Then I manually added the include for that file and it’s still not observing that class when I try to print.

How do I remove the link / button “Print Me” when it’s being printed?
