Customizing oEmbed posts

    Is it possible to use custom CSS when using oEmbed to display Instagram posts? I’m trying to figure out how to customize how the posts are displayed. Entering CSS in Settings >>Feeds >> Custom CSS doesn’t seem to have any impact.

    How can I get custom CSS code to apply to posts inserted using oEmbed?

    Hi @kentsmythe,

    Thanks for contacting us! Unfortunately you can’t use custom CSS with oEmbeds because these display content directly from Instagram within an Iframe on the page. For security reasons, the browser won’t apply CSS or JavaScript to content within an Iframe.

    The Custom CSS setting in our plugin will work for content in a regular Instagram feed because that is added as HTML directly on your page, rather than as an Iframe.
