If I want to make two small posts that put one beside the other combined measure the same as a normal post, only in those especific posts, and later on my “blog” I want to create a different Mod for another tipe of post. Can it be done? It might just take a bit of template coding and some crafty CSS. * In your mockup, I’m assuming that we’re looking at a ‘home’ page where you’re actually showing eight different posts, but some of them are smaller. 1. Would these ‘smaller’ posts be members of a certain category or tag? 2. I will tell my mother that you think her chihuahua is cool 😉 … jejeje… * 1. well, my atempt is that in the left column only displays posts from an especific catergory, and in the right column would show post from again another category but it would change dynamically with the buttons that I want to put on top of that column. That said, maybe it would be like having multiple different loops, I found a script online with the instructions on the “how-to”, but, the thing that I really need is how to customize the layout of the posts, it would be great if the layout can be choosen when the post is being typed. * 2. yes.. the smaller posts would have a “more info” link to the complete post, and if you put some attention to some posts, they have some sort of links under the lead of the post, well, I’m thinking that they would be something like relative links, of course… relative to the post they are underneath. * [Eric Amundson](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sewmyheadon/) * (@sewmyheadon) * [17 years, 10 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/customizing-layout-for-post/#post-806162) * Sounds like you may end up with a few different loops and possibly some [Conditional Tags](http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags). * You could, for example, have in one of your loops a Conditional element in your loop that says something like: * if the category equals ‘coffee’ apply class ‘slim’ to the containing element otherwise, apply class ‘fat’ * You’d probably need to mess around with it to see where all the snags might be. One possible problem would be that if you need two slim elements together, you’ll have to work out the best way to ensure that this happens. * This could require multiple loops for the page, or just some fancy conditions in your loops. * Sounds like you have an idea how to do this. * Regarding the layout, I’d definitely use a CSS layout and create two columns, one for the main content (left) and another for the subcontent (right).
