  • I don’t really see a question here…Yes, it has to do with comments.php; that’s what WordPress includes through the comments_template() template tag.

    If a theme does not have a comments.php template, it will use the one that comes with the default theme. If that’s the one your theme uses, it’s a good idea to make a copy of it in your active theme’s directory. You can then customize that to your heart’s content without affecting the original (and WordPress will automatically start using it).
