Customizing Checkbox Text Characters

    Is there anyway to target a single character or word that is part of a checkbox list with css and/or html tags?

    What I’m trying to get at is to modify an asterisk that I have added at the end of a selection by highlighting it AND making it superscript so that I can include a “footnote” for that item within the div surrounding the cf7 checkbox list below the list.
