Support » Plugins » customizing appearance of tables?

  • Using the WP-Table plugin. It installed and is working great. I am having trouble with two issues.
1-How can I change the way text appears in cells? I would like it to be flush not centered.
2-How can I have the text on the page in which I insert the table wrap around the table, rather than the table sit above and below text?

Any help is much appreciate! I’m new to all this.

  • A bit late for the original poster, but an answer might be useful for somebody else: You should use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

For site-wide modifications change the style.css file. For specific changes to one table only, add styles=”” to the <table> you created. You should use the Code View for that, or define the style by using a table-plugin.

    Cheers.

Actually you can restyle only a certain table by assigning a class or id to the table element. The WordPress admin screens use that technique. Inline CSS is not best practice and it’s not as easy to deal with as class selectors. All your styling should be in style.css or other css files, not in your html/xhtml.
