    Hi Martin,

    thanks for your post.

Unfortunately, this is not that trivial, and it requires more than just CSS. In face, the solution on the baseball website uses some custom JavaScript code.

Now, there is a (sort-of) plugin for the DataTables JavaScript library (which is used in TablePress for the sorting, search, and pagination), see http://www.datatables.net/examples/api/row_details.html .
I’m planning to make that easily usable in TablePress, but I can’t give a time frame on when that will be ready. Once it is, I’ll publish it on the TablePress website at http://tablepress.org/extensions/

    Hi,

some news on this: I now have a good idea of how to turn that into a TablePress Extension.
It’s not that much code, but as I’m very busy at the moment, this exceeds my capacities of what I can offer as free support right now. So, I either need to ask you to be patient as mentioned above, or to get in touch with me by mail (the address is in the main plugin file tablepress.php). Maybe we can work something out, with some sort of compensation. I know that this might be a tough answer, but that’s all I can offer right now.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

it’s great that you not forgetting about that topic. 🙂

I have found another way to resolve my problem. Well, it’s not the best, but it fits the need. Therefore I don’t need it anymore in that rush. Would be still awesome, but it’s no emergency.

… and I don’t find your answer tough in any relation. You spend that much time with such a great tool that I would be happy to help you in any way. But as mentioned, right now, I don’t use tablepress. 🙂

    cheers,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

great to hear that you found a solution that is working for you!

Once I find the time to develop the row details Extension, I’ll publish it on the TablePress website then. 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
