Support » Plugin: Kirki Customizer Framework » Customizer problem with preload link

  • Resolved namenlos

Hallo, i have a Problem with the Customizer. PageSpeed Insights say

Warnings: A preload <link> element was found for ““, but not used by the browser. Check if the “crossorigin” attribute is used correctly.

Now I do not know where to find the mistake.

Sorry, my English is very bad 🙁

    Best Regards

    Hi @namenlos,

Kirki does not add the preload tags. You appear to have them on every resource. Do you have any optimization plugins that could be doing that?

I’ve set a font with font display: swap under Customizer in the CSS function. Customizer said that would be an unknown property. Then the error came on PageSpeed. Now I have removed the CSS line, but the error message is still there?

My optimization plugin is Pagespeed Ninja, but I’ve been around for a while.

Just to add to the above, it looks like you’re running an older version of the Kirki plugin. The URL mentioned in your original post is no longer used on the frontend of the site, so please update your installation to the latest version. If kirki is included in the theme you’re using, you can contact the theme author and ask them to update it in their theme.

font display: swap is not related to the preload header tags. Pagespeed Ninja is most likely adding those. Try disabling it and clearing your cache to see.

This with the older version will be fine and let me know about the support for the Futurio Theme. Thank you both and wish you a nice week.

    Best regards Christian
