• Hi everyone, I downloaded the sugar and spice template today. The template I had before was working (with customizer) just a few minutes before I downloaded this one, however, this one will now load customizer. It just gives me the gray screen with the loading ball in the middle. Is this a problem anyone else has had with this template? I’ve tried emptying my cache, using the wp sweep plugin, deactivating plugs and more, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be extremely appreciated. Thank you!

  • Same here! In my opinion, there seems to be a bug in the latest wordpress version. I tried to reinstall AND use their default themes and still unable to access the CUSTOMIZE page. What I see is it attempting to load, but the loading ball just keeps spinning.

Same here!! Since I installed the recent update of WP, I can’t load the Customizer. Anyone with a solution?

Yeah I still can’t seem to find a solution that works. I’ve read a bunch of stuff on it but everything other people are trying isn’t working for me. I think it must be a bug though if so many people are having the same problem.

I just upgraded my test site to WP 4.3, and I’m using the latest Sugar & Spice version, and I am able to access the Customizer, FWIW.

How did you get WP 4.3? I have 4.2.4 and it says I have no updates available.

That’s what showed up on my dashboard as being available. It’s also the latest version on the WordPress download page.

I downloaded the latest WP and still can’t customize this theme. Success, anyone?

I still can’t get it to work, but I realized you can customize most if it by going through appearance–> theme options. It’s not as useful or anything, but it worked fine for me. Obviously I wish customizer would just work but this is a good alternative.

And to change the title and tag line you can do that in settings–> general.

anyone has a solution? deactivating plugins didn’t do anything…

Honestly, my solution was to downgrade the wordpress to a previous version. The time I wasted searching for a fix was not worth it. Google steps on reverting back to a previous version.
