The following topic is closed, but it is a problem for me.

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/customizer-not-showing-under-appearance-when-using-block-theme/

I am using WordPress 5.9.2 and Blockbase 2.0.27 and the Customize option doesn’t show up on the Appearance menu. In fact, it doesn’t show up for other block themes (e.g Twenty Twenty-Two).

I have tried the suggestions offered in the above topic, and they do not work for me.

    They were:
    1) Use the “Customize” button o the Theme card.
    2) Use the url ‘/wp-admin/customize.php’ tacked on to site URL.

Both of these options take me to the Site Editor.

In addition, I tried putting what I would have put into Additional CSS into Style.css for the theme.

That turned out not to be a workaround for not using Additional CSS.

I now understand that ordinarily it is not available for block themes. Since I wanted it anyway, I installed a third-party plugin to recover the functionality.

    Hi there!

Yeah, those themes are prepared to be used with the Fulls Site Editing and will not have the Customizer available.
I’m glad to hear you’ve found a workaround.
