 * Hi all,
 * Having a strange problem since the v4.9 update. For some reason, styles I place
   in my child theme style.css file are no longer applying. When I copy those styles
   into the Customizer CSS area, they apply fine.
 * I confess this has left me scratching my head a bit. Has the file loading priority
   been changed? My styles aren’t even appearing in Chrome Inspector anymore…

 * Child themes should load the same as before. I’m not having an issue with any
   of my sites.
 * A link to the page in question would be helpful—we could look for errors for
   you.
 * Failing that, navigate to that site, open the inspector by pressing F12, and
   click on the “Console” tab. Do you see any errors there about child theme files
   not loading?
