# Customized theme overriding WP theme

 * I made my own theme with the last version… then upgraded to the new .3 and decided
   to take on a new theme. The problem is, my code is in the index file and other
   areas… how do I change back to the default code so that it will pick up the themes?

 * Do you mean you’re ‘theme’ sits in the root of your blog? If so, just replace
   your index.php there with the one that comes with WordPress. WordPress should
   then use whatever theme is set under Presentation.

   new theme active in the admin area?

 * Wow, I’d forgotten about this post. Some things have changed. I’ve learned a 
   lot from all of you. Thank you for your patience while I was still new. I’m sorry
   I wasted your time on this (now silly) question. I’ve since upgraded to 1.5 with
   no trouble. Thanks again!
