Customize / Translate the “SAVE & ACCEPT” button

    Hello,

    Thanks for your plugin.

    There is a button located at the “Privacy Overview” modal that I cannot find a way to translate/customize. The button text is “SAVE & ACCEPT”. How can I change that?

    Oh thanks. It is weird that the plugin itself let us customize most (if not all) texts seen by visitors, except for that specific “SAVE & ACCEPT” button. I mean, I can customize other buttons within the plugin, Privacy Overview text/content including Cookies categories and description.

    Is there a reason this specific button is not available for customization under the plugin “Customise buttons” tab? Like reset, settings, accept, accept all, etc.

    Anyway, I have already suggested a few changes and reviewed the translation for brazilian portuguese.

    We understand your concern and we will add it to backlogs will consider adding edit option for this button in future update.

    Thanks. Is there a guide to setup the translation? Do I need another plugin? I’ve reviewed the pt-BR language, but I did not understand how to apply that.

    Hi @krzd7,

    We can see that you have translated everything and we appreciate your contribution. Now a translation moderator from WordPress has to approve it to make it available in the site.

    I see that the translated strings are waiting for months now. Is there a way to speed up this process and/or request for approval?

    Please follow up with the official translators on WordPress Translators Slack channel and ask them to approve your work.

    It has been really hard getting someone from the pt-BR team to approve the translations. It is understandable that people may not have enough time, but it just shows how bad designed/stuck the translation system is. I believe that, somehow, I should be able to approve ‘waiting’ translations myself (at my WordPress installation) specially if there are no approved/official translations. Is there a plugin that allows me to override or define translations?

    Can we have a patch in order to allow the customization/translation of this specific button? Internationalisation is important when dealing with GDPR.

    If you are facing the same issue – cannot get your translations approved by official means – I’d like to share the following plugin that worked for me: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-override-translations/

    I was able to translate all texts, including the Privacy Overview modal.
