Support » Plugin: Bandsintown Events » customize the list of gigs on wordpress website

  • Resolved fweijers

I am looking for an example of custom css for the bandsintown wordpress plugin.
Can anyone give me a custom css example in order to display both past gigs (max 10) and upcoming gigs together?
And some example code to remove the buttons like “Notify me” and “RVSP”?
Another challenge is to display the list of gigs with a custom background image?

but any working css example would help me on my way.

    many thanks!!

Thanks for reaching out. Here is a Codepen illustrating some tweaks to the HTML and CSS code:

To display 10 events, you can see in the HTML panel of the Codepen, we have edited the “data-display-limit” element to equal 10.

To add a custom background image, we suggest wrapping the Widget Initializer HTML script tag in a div element, seen in the HTML panel as <div id=”bit-widget-container”>. This way you can add an id or a class to target the HTML element and add a background image via the CSS (seen in the CSS panel of the Codepen).

Removing buttons would be achieved in a similar manner, where you can find the HTML element and add “display: none” in the CSS.

You can find more elements that are customizable in the Widget here

But for the ultimate ability to customize the display of both upcoming and past events, we would suggest taking a look at our Public API. This would require coding, but is a way you can build a display of events that cater to your specific needs:

Please let us know if you have any other questions or if there is anything else we can help you with!
