Customize Templates – Oxygen

    I am using Oxygen to build my website, but the plugin disables themes (thus I can’t create a child theme then edit SportsPress templates). So I’m wondering how else can I edit the templates?

    Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer to this. But I would like to say +1 and will be following as I am trying to figure this out on Bricks Builder specifically if a template can be made in the Bricks/Oxy builder

    Hi there @sara2428 and @jasonooch ,

    If you are not able to use themes then your only option is to use the SportsPress hooks (filters and actions) to make the changes you want. See below for more info:

    Let’s say I want to wrap a certain part of the template’s code in a loop, can I use the SportsPress hooks for that?

    You can use shortcodes also. Actually it depends each time of what you want to include. Filters and actions will help you to add extra info on your templates (actions) or/and alter info before showing (filters). But if you want to show a part of a template, you will need to make some custom shortcodes with the part of template you want.
