Support » Plugin: I Recommend This » Customize plugin image and response. Need widget to show votes for custom posts

    Hi, sorry for the poorly written title, but I’ve some problems.
    First of all I’d need to customize the default image and I’ve already done this by simply changing the class and id of the image container (an anchor element) in this way:

    <a href="#" class="dot-irecommendthis" id='dot-irecommendthis-<?php echo get_the_ID(); ?>'>
                            <div id="modal-love-btn">

    Don’t know if exists a faster way.

    Also, I’d need a custom response: when the user presses the button it should appear a “thank you” image.

    The most important question is: can the widget show the votes for custom posts?

    For modification to style, I would suggest first checking the CSS file in the plugin. There is a option in the plugin setting to turn of the styling. You can then simply add the CSS (from the plugins CSS) to your theme and modify it. This way you do not need to load same style twice.

    For custom response, you would have to modify the plugin directly and add some JavaScript code or something in the AJAX call to either add a pop-up or simply output an image. This would be trial and error and beyond the scope so you are on your own on this.

    Regarding custom posts, I am not 100% sure but I guess it can work. You would need to add the short code to a location in the custom post’s template.

    <?php if( function_exists('dot_irecommendthis') ) dot_irecommendthis(); ?>

    If you like the plugin, don’t forget to rate it.
