Customize "Out of Stock" action

I am using Woocommerce for a solution besides ecommerce and would prefer to display a custom message when an item is out of stock rather than the item details (I realize this is typically not something an ecommerce store wants, but for our needs it works).

So in short:
Rather than displaying any of the product details, if an item which is out of stock is viewed with its direct URL it will show a custom message.

Any way to easily accomplish this?
