My WordPress install added a meta robots tag above the one added by The SEO Framework which set max-image-preview:large. Adding remove_filter( 'wp_robots', 'wp_robots_max_image_preview_large' ); I was able to remove the duplicate robots tag so TSF is the only one.

The one problem I’m still having is that the extension sets the value meta name="robots" content="max-snippet:-1,max-image-preview:standard,max-video-preview:-1" />. Here the max-image-preview is “standard”. I’d like to set this to “large”.

What is the best way to do this?

    WP version: 5.7.1
    TSF version: 4.1.3

    Hello!

In TSF, you can manage this setting via its “Copyright Directive Settings”. You can find it under “SEO Settings > Robots Meta Settings > General”. In your case, you’d want to set “Maximum image preview size” to “Large or full size”.

The most restrictive tag applies, which is why I didn’t find it necessary to patch WP 5.7’s sudden introduction of their ‘least restrictive’ directive quickly (which you’ve removed via that snippet).
