    hi anmari,
is it possible for me to customize the Mailto link type.
Currently, I have your plugin code for your site specific link type to update profile to go to my membersdetails list. This is good and makes me think customizing the 'mailto' link type might be possible.

reason being, some members have chosen 'don't publish me online', this puts 'dnp' into their email field, but if you click on the 'dnp' in the email field in the user list, it does a mailto,(as it is supposed to of course). I can turn this link type off, but best case scenario would be to customize this link type so say; "if email = 'dnp', don't have it be a link, or make it a dead link, or something like that.
    many thanks,

    Hi Eve,
I thought i had replied to this, but checking the list today, clearly no reply showing, so here goes again. Ues tou can - requires some coding.

Probably the safest way is to add your own linktype and in that linktype formatting routine, you could add a check on the user field and then not print the link.

Instructions for adding link types are here. THat concept was used in creating the example site specific plugin.

Alternatively you could filter the linktype result using filter 'amr-users-linktype-function'. See
the get_href function in the pluggables file.
