    Hello,

    I’m a newbie to WordPress (I just started using it this week), and I do not like the way the recommended contact form 7 looks on my Web site. The fields are too wide, and the submit button goes across the entire window. http://goodhygienecode.com/contact/ I’m running the Hueman theme and the style.css states a warning to not edit this file, and to use the custom.css or child theme instead. I understand the reasoning, so I tried to edit the contact form by entering in some of the suggestions I found online such as
    .wpcf7 input[type=”text”],
    .wpcf7 input[type=”email”],
    .wpcf7 textarea
    {
    background-color: #fff;
    color: #000;
    width: 50%;
    }
    into the custom style sheet and saving it. Nothing happens. Then I tried adjusting it by going to the “form” area of the “edit contact form” page, using suggestions like

    <p>Your Name (required)
    [text* your-name 20/] </p>

    I would save it, go back to the contact page, and nothing would ever change.

    I also tried copying areas of the stylesheet like

    .themeform button[type=”submit”] { background: #3b8dbd; color: #fff; padding: 8px 14px; font-weight: 600; display: inline-block; border: none; cursor: pointer; -webkit-border-radius: 3px; border-radius: 3px; }

    into the custom stylesheet and editing that, and nothing seems to change the form. Lastly, I tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling it. I also tried deleting the page and recreating it. If there is anyone who has the Hueman theme and knows what I’m doing wrong, please let me know. I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m missing. Thanks so much!
