Customize comment notification mail

Hello. I run a site (http://blogchaat.com) where Guest Authors often post. Since they are given IDs, they are automatically notified of comments on their post by the notification email. However, I want to customize that email to show ONLY the Comment Author’s name and the comment text. I do NOT want the Comment Author’s email, IP, etc. to be revealed. Please tell me how I can do this.

PS: The site runs on WP 2.0.4

I checked out Scott Reilly’s Notification Disabler plugin which says that something like this can be achieved by editing the comment-functions.php file in wp-includes folder. But when I opened the file, the code I found there was very different from what he’d described, so I was unable to figure anything out. Details of the hack are here.
