[resolved] Customize Automatic Latest Content (5 posts)

I love the 'latest content' option. Thanks for including that! However, I don't like the lack of customization with that option. I'd love to be able to adjust the size of the featured image, since most times it takes up way too much of the screen. I'd also like to include the date of each post (if you send out newsletters monthly, it's nice to know when each of the posts in that month were sent). I'd also like to include tags if possible. Please let me know if this is an option. I'm no stranger to writing PHP or writing plugins, so if I can customize a template/theme or add my own php script inside the custom-made template/theme folder to control this option, I'd be happy to know which file(s) I can do this with.

    Thank you,

    Sharon, thanks for the feedback.

You'll be able to adjust the image size in our next release.

As for tags & date of each post, we haven't included them. We fear bloating our plugin with too many options.

    Cheers, Kim

Hi, I totally second the ability to customize the latest content.

Customizable Image Size would be awesome.

Also, if you could add the option to make the title a link, that would be awesome.

But these are just my individual requests. If you could make it more customizable through different php templates, just like the css themes already in existence, it would make it so much more powerful.

    Thank you!

The title as a link is in the works as well all coming together in 2.6.

We'll see about templates, it's kind of complicated as we want to provide an email experience that renders well on all email clients.

You can already modify the template thoughin wysija-newsletters/tools/email_v3

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks Ben,

That's great news. Looking forward to it. I'll take a look at the template as well.
