    Hi,

First I’d like to thank the developers for doing a great job. I’m new to wordpress and this plugin is simple to use and has a nice, clean aesthetic.

I want to add a few customizations, and while I realize I don’t have the premium support I was wondering if you could point a newbie in the right direction. Essentially on the single-page view where the map and even information is displayed, I’d like to add two additional buttons beside the add to calendar buttons. Basically I’d like them to be configured as custom fields on the back end where the user can simply put a url in each of those fields on the add event page.

Can you send some resources my way to help me get started? Thank you for your time 🙂

    Hey Jarrel09,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to WordPress!

You’re right, we’re unable to provide detailed customization support here, however hopefully we can help to get you pointed in the right direction.

First, the simplest way to create the additional fields would be to use a plugin such as Advanced Custom Fields. You can create the fields and then output the data using the great tutorials they have on their site.

As for where to output the information within our plugin, check out our Themer’s Guide which will walk you through the process of moving the needed view into your theme and customizing it there. In this case you may need the views > single-event.php as well as the views > modules and views > modules > meta depending on exactly where you would like the added information to display.

Let me know if this helps.
    Thanks!
