Customising the header dimensions

    I’m seeing quite a few people struggling to change the header image dimensions via a child theme. Would it be possible to wrap twentythirteen_custom_header_setup() in a function conditional in a future version? Or perhaps re-examine using require get_template_directory() . '/inc/custom-header.php';? Anything would help. Even a filter?

    I’ve come up with a workaround but it seems clunky and involves a lot of (IMO) code replication. Conditionals and/or filters in the parent theme would go a long way towards a more elegant solution.
