    Hi

Is it possible to customise the add-to-cart function behaviour?

I want people to follow 3 simple steps in the order process. So the user starts on step 1 page and they choose from a small selection of products. Upon adding one of the products from the step 1 page to the cart, they are taken to ‘Step 2’ page. And after adding a product to cart from the step 2 page, they are taken to step 3 page. The step 3 page contains a few more products which once added to cart, they are then shown the contents of their cart, just like if they had clicked on the ‘view cart’ link or something.

If something like this is possible, I then want to also detect specific taxonomies, so that if someone clicks on a product thats been assigned a certain taxonomy, they are shown a small popup asking if they are over 18 (in the case of buying beer online etc).

    Any help much appreciated.

  • Hi MrJLC,
That is definitely possible, but would require custom development. If you’d like to get a quote for that, please write more about mechanism (how to choose products to show in each steps – basing on tax? sth else? how to choose multiple products – checkboxes?) or provide designs of what you want to achieve to support@jigoshop.com
