Support » Fixing WordPress » customising appearance of loop on front page

  • hi, i’ve got my front page set to show excerpts of my most recent posts, along with relevant thumbnails.

what i’d like to do now, is make the font size of my blog title and excerpt smaller, and move everything to the right hand side of the thumbnail ( blog title, posting date, author, excerpt, category link, comment link).

whereabouts do i need to edit and how should i edit it? i’m using a modified twentyten child theme. thanks in advance!

  • just a thought, do i need to be looking at altering the css, the loop.php or something else?

update: i’ve managed to work out how to resize the excerpt and the blog title.

how do i remove the facebook and twitter buttons from my post summary? (but not from the post itself).

also, i still would like to know how to move the post title and post info (date, author, category, comments etc) to the right hand side of the thumbnail. is this possible? ideally, the post title will appear above date and author, then comes the post excerpt, and finally at the bottom, we have category and comments. all of this to the right of the thumbnail of course. i apologise for being very demanding 😀
