Support » Plugin: Sell Media » customised edits to css and php files lost in plugin update

  • Hi

Thanks so much for replying to a previous post…

I have just updated the theme and I lost a couple of styling edits in the process … hence my question … I did see on a previous post I need to copy files to my theme (I am using a child theme) which I did (I copied the css file and a couple of php files) but my formatting has now gone in the plugin update so I am now thinking I didn’t copy the css to the right place?

Interestingly the formatting to the php files have stayed so I just want to verify where I should put my customised file for css, so formatting isn’t lost in future updates to the plugin?

    Many thanks

    Hi LZ,

Here are the instructions for overriding the default Sell Media templates:

    Sell Media

Regarding your CSS styling questions, any CSS you add to your Child Theme will not be overwritten when we release updates to Sell Media. So in the future, please refrain from editing any code in Sell Media. If you think you need to modify something, there is likely either an Action or a Filter that you can use. Instructions for using Actions and Filters are posted in our online Documentation in the Developer API section:

    Sell Media
