    Hi, thanks for reporting this problem.
    I have sincerely no ideas what could be the cause of this problem. As you said, this is complex to reproduce.
    The fact that your footer date gets reset to its initial value of 2015 is pretty weird.
    I would recommend installing and activating a plugin to help you monitor what’s happening in your database like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

    In the meantime, I found some other information that I hope it is useful:
    – In the “site health status” saying I have one critical issue “A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check()”
    – it also says “your site could not complete a loopback request: The loopback request returned an unexpected http status code, 403, it was not possible to determine if this will prevent features from working as expected.”
