    Hi There,
I’ve made several purchases with my website.

I want to know why I only see customers in Woocommerce, and not in wordpress users.. Is that normal?

I would like them to also be a user with role customer.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I understand that on your WordPress/WooCommerce site, you’ve attempted to place a few orders but you don’t see new users in wp-admin >> Users.

As a first step, can you please confirm if you’ve placed these orders in an incognito browser window or you’ve just placed them while still logged in as a site administrator? If you were logged in as admin – these orders are assigned to the admin user.

WooCommerce uses the default WordPress user functionality and adds a new “customer” user role:

It is possible to enable or disable guest checkout though and with guest checkout enabled, an account is not created for the user automatically. You’d have to disable guest checkout and adjust other settings in WooCommerce >> Settings >> Accounts and Privacy in order to make sure each customer gets an account when they check out.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
