Support » Plugin: Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer » Customer Note – still default English text

  • Hi! I am using your great plugin to achieve some minor issues with Email text. All emails work fine except the one with Customer Note in the orders. We will go productive by tomorrow.
I also have installed Loco Translate and it’s in. I have installed Swiss German and it’s in the table.

I tested it several times but I couldn’t find the place to get rid of the text – see print screen:

    What do I miss?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance and kind regards,
    Brigitte

  • Hey,
You should see that string in Loco Translate as a string that is in this plugin.

I just checked and it’s showing in the translation strings.

    Hello,
Yes, indeed – I also see the translation in Loco Translate but it’s unfortuneatly not translated into German in the Email text sent to the customer – see my print screen above.

Is there a way to supress/delete this additional text – means not displaying it at all?

    Thanks and regards,
    Brigitte

It’s possible you need to resync your translation in logo translate. Have you tried that?

There is not an option to remove that text. It’s part of the original woocommerce template so you would have to override the template to remove it.

    Hi Ben,
    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I did save and synchronize it in Loco translation. And so, I assume it takes this translation table.

Actually, I checked the original woocommerce translation table to find this part of text but I couldn’t find it. I only found this string “For your reference, your order details are shown below.” in your plugin.

Could I actually try to add this in the woocommerce translation table EN-GE, save, synchronise, and see what happen?

    Thank you,
    Brigitte

    Hey,
It shouldn’t be affected by Woocommerce core. In version 3.7.0 woocommerce updated that string to be: As a reminder, here are your order details:

But it again wouldn’t matter this plugin has the file and this plugin is where you would make translations. It’s possible you have a third plugin editing or effecting this or you’ve overridden the template in your theme in which case the text domain would change.

Have you tried deactivating all plugins?

Have you checked in woocommerce > status > templates to see if you are overriding the template?

    Hi Ben,
Thank you so much for your effort.
Finally, retrying and thinking I now have the solution:

I discovered that in Kadence WP plugin I found a strange DE-CH-Informal.po but in WordPress I use DE-CH. So I copied the German Translation, made a DE-CH.po, and last but not least I translated this DE-CH.po from all informal to formal.

So, actually I have translated to formal form meaning (Sie). My customer prefers the formal forms.

Would you like to have this translation for your plugin?
If yes, let me know what exactly I have to send you.

Thank you for your patience and replies. I went through your email over and over and now I understand – I learnt a lot and will recommend your plugin deeply. And use it in all my e-commerce sites.
    It’s highly appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Brigitte

I’d love to add that please send along.
