    Folks,
I have a customer problem, they miss entering their tax exemption certificates on orders, but they do add the numbers to the order notes.
The enhancements I am looking to ask for are:
    1. Allow the admin to enter tax exempt certificates for a customer to their order and to their customer record so the system will show them the certificate and ask for it.
    2. Allow the admin to view, add, edit, delete tax certificates in the customer’s account record.

This will go far giving my company an edge by being even more customer oriented as far as supporting the customers!

    Brett,
I have a caching plugin on my site, perhaps that caused some issues. Trying again this morning, everything appears to be working as expected.

This really is looking like a caching issue.

    Thanks,

Brett, so going through the normal check out process, the add certificate works fine. If I use the add or manage certificate from the order management page and get directed to the user record, adding a new certificate there gives the text field instead of the dropdown for the state link on the very first field in the form.

It would seem that something is different between the customer record certificate management and the checkout process certificate management.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for the updates! I’m glad to hear things seem to be working as expected, at least for end users during checkout.

I was able to discover why the state field can be rendered as a text input instead of a dropdown in some cases and I’m working on a fix. I intend to have it released by the end of the week. In the meantime, the add certificate form on the Edit User page should work as long as you enter a 2 letter state abbreviation in the field.

    Thanks again,
    Brett

Brett, Yep, figured that out when I tried using the 2 char abbreviation and it worked. Was a bit odd, but whatever works, correct? Glad you found my feedback helpful!
