Custom toggle not working – Am I doing it right?
-
Hello,
I’m trying to use your plugin (the free version for now) to replace the mobile menu that came with my theme. I don’t want the full bar at the top but rather just a small hamburger (or another icon) toggle instead. I read through the help pages and several threads here asking the same thing and I followed the instructions but nothing shows up when I refresh the site.
The steps I’ve taken were:
1. Uncheck “Display toggle Bar” (Uncheck this to disable the default toggle bar and add your own custom toggle)
2. Add content to “Toggle Content” below. I tried adding an <img> tag, some text or<a class="shiftnav-toggle" data-shiftnav-target="shiftnav-main"><i class="fa fa-bars"></i> ShiftNav Pro</a>
as suggested here.
Nothing shows up on the page when I refresh in any of those cases. however, if I check “Display Toggle Bar” again it is displayed on top of the toggle bar. This makes me think I’m just doing it wrong and missing something.
I’d appreciate it if you could clarify what needs to be done to modify the default bar toggle. Thanks in advance!
