• My five year old blog was long overdue for a refresh.

    http://www.barkhuff.com/

For modern browsers, almost every part of the experience has been customized: infinite scrolling, inline-ajax-loading of posts, ajax comments, html5 video, facebook-style image viewer with comments, etc.

There are lots of little details members of this forum might find interesting. I really tried to push the bar on this one.

Most of the content is pretty old, but there’s a bunch of new stuff coming.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

After expanding posts, by clicking on block titles, I do not see how to deflate them back.

The blog is a bit in my face all the time, with the font size, large images and large input text fields.

You don’t seem to have a global navigation, so I’m not sure where to go on your page, after I’ve exhausted your sliding animations.

Your main page could be paginated or categorised, as you can easily get lost within the tens of blog posts.

Thanks for the feedback Andrew. Clicking the magnifying class in the top right reveals the global navigation. That’s also where all the categorization can be found.

Several people have mentioned wanting to collapse posts after reading them. I’ll do some experimenting to try to improve that process.

If anyone else has time to explore the site, I’d appreciate any additional feedback. I’m trying something new for navigation, and I’m curious if it’s working or not.
