Is it possible to have some custom text in the tiles that doesn’t appear in the post? Or to slightly edit the post title as it appears.

For example, a post title might be “Blueberry Muffins” but on the WP-Tile I’d love it to say “The Best Blueberry Muffins Ever!” Is that a doable thing?

    Hi James,

Changing the title is currently only possible through filters. You could think of a solution where you’d make a custom field for the wp-tiles title, that will be replaced by some custom code hooking into WP Tiles.

Easier is to show the excerpt in the byline (using the WP Tiles settings page). You can edit the excerpt on any page or post (see the Codex page on excerpts).

Let me know if you need any help if you go for the first option!

    Hi mike,
Great Plug-in. I am new to WP and the plug-ins with no prior coding experience. I am trying to add more excerpt text in wp-tiles by following your advice above but still not able to get it to work. I attempted to update the byline setting for wp-tiles but no success.
    Thanks,
    Biren
