Support » Plugin: WPML Multilingual CMS » Custom taxonomy with sub-taxonomies not showing

  • Hey there,

Having some weird behavior in admin and wondering if anyone’s run into it. Basically have a custom taxonomy set up – up to there, no problem. But when I start adding sub-taxonomies, suddenly only one language list will display with the children (sometimes it’s one language, sometimes the other).

They do show up in my posts, and the taxonomy count is correct, simply, it will not display children for both languages. I’ve checked the database, done the set language fix – can’t see any reason why these won’t show.

Maybe a configuration I’ve missed? help?

    thnx!

  • I’ve located the field my_taxonomy_children in wp_options, and clearly only one language set is being displayed…

I also just compared with plain old post categories, and the problem is the same. Curiously, however, the English sub-category shows for Post categories, while it’s the French version that shows for my custom taxonomy.

Anybody have an idea of how to fix this? Although I can still work with it, it’s pretty inconvenient… :-/

ok, as far as I can tell the problem is not specific to custom taxonomies, but occurs for categories as well. I have identified that it seems to be specific to the Beta versions – the last stable versions do not seem to produce the error. However, the Beta versions include important fixes for javascript errors so… :-/
